BRRR - Colder Temperatures

What a week the Florida Keys have had weather wise! Much like the rest of the country, Key Colony Beach temperatures dropped as low as 55 degrees fahrenheight earlier this week. To the majority of our country, we may seem dramatic, but to us that is COLD!

Commercial Fisherman Met With Trouble

August 6th, 2025 was the opening day of Lobster Season. For months, multigenerational keys fisherman have been preparing their traps, buoys and boats for the impending season. Since the season has opened, they've been met with a shockingly low market price that is alleged to be $5 a pound compared to previous years of $10 and up.
