Q: What airports are close by?

  • A: The Key West International Airport is the only airport in the Florida Keys that accepts commercial passenger flights and is located about an hour from Key Colony Beach. The Miami International Airport is located two hours from Key Colony Beach and The Fort Lauderdale International Airport is located two and a half hours from us. 

Q: Can I stay less than 7 days?

  • A: The city of Key Colony Beach requires a 7 night minimum stay requirement so we are unable to rent for less. 

Q: Can I bring an extra person if the house is only licensed for X amount?

  • A: Each of our homes has a maximum occupancy set by the city which is based on the square footage of the home, we are unable to allow guests overnight that exceed those limits. 

Q: Where is the closest beach?

  • A: We have 2 public beaches and both are located in Marathon.  The first is off Sombrero Beach Road and the second is located off Coco Plum Road. 

Q: What is the cabana club?

  • A: Almost all of our homes in Key Colony Beach have access to the Cabana Club, which is a private facility that offers a junior size olympic pool and beach access. 

Q: Do babies and toddlers count towards the maximum occupancy?

  • A: Yes, the City of Key Colony Beach counts everyone in the maximum occupancy of a house. Our homes are licensed for a certain number of people and that limit cannot be exceeded. 

Q: Where can I launch my boat?

  • A: There are two public boat launches in town. One is oceanside at Mile Marker 54 and the other is at the end of 33rd St.  

Q: What can I do if there is no room for a boat trailer at the home I want to book?

  • A: For those staying in Key Colony Beach, there is boat trailer parking on 8th St for $50 a week. Please contact the City of Key Colony Beach at (305-289-1212) to make arrangements.

Q: I have a small, well-behaved dog but the home I am interested in does not allow pets. Will the owners make an exception?

  • A: Many owners do not allow pets due to severe allergies or having family with severe allergies. While we cannot make exceptions to the pet policy, we do have some great pet-friendly homes.

Q: I have two dogs. Is it ok if I bring both?

  • A: Yes.  Some of our pet-friendly homes do allow more than one pet without restrictions.  Please check with the pet policy for each unit before making a reservation.  We charge a non refundable $200 pet fee.

Q: I see a boat lift in the pictures. May we use that during our stay?

  • A: Due to liability and insurance issues, boat lifts are not included with any of our rentals. The boat lift is not included in our calculation of dockage, so any dockage listed is available for your use.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?

  • A: If you cancel in writing up to 60 days before arrival, you will be refunded everything but our processing fee. If you cancel less than 60 days before arrival, any prepaid rent (less the processing fee) will be refunded ONLY if we are able to procure another rental for that same period. If no rental is procured, you will lose any prepaid rent, not to exceed the amount of your rental.

Q: What time is check in and check out?

  • A: Check-in begins at 4:00 PM and ends at 5:00 PM. Due to the size and complexity of homes in our program, our housekeepers and inspectors need every minute of the 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM window to ensure the cleanliness of your vacation home. We make every effort to ensure all homes are clean and ready for occupancy by 4:00 PM. Please do not buy groceries before check-in. We cannot let you into homes that are not ready, nor can we provide refrigeration facilities. In unusual circumstances, for whatever reason, it may be necessary to delay occupancy beyond 4:00 PM, until your home is ready.
