After Hurricane Irma graced us with her presence, many of our local charities stepped up to help those in need and along the way a few new organizations were formed to help meet the growing need. These organizations have stepped up to help our community in more ways that most can imagine. They have donated countless hours of their time and more often than not tending to others needs before their own.
With many of our work-force homes badly damaged or totally destroyed, many of our families are still in need of many of the basic essentials such as clothing, shoes and toiletries. Our public schools are asking for portable meal/snack options for students. Other organizations are asking for your time to continue with the clean-up efforts of our neighborhoods. The American Legion Riders Association has donated all of the proceeds from this years Coral Head Music Festival to recovery efforts so just by purchasing a ticket and enjoying the live show, you are helping our community. For ticket information, please visit their website at https://www.coralheadmusicfest.com/.
Many of these organizations are still in need and are continuing to accept donations. Please check them out to see if you can help. Below are just a few of our favorites but there are many more out there that need your help!
