Wings Of Freedom Aircraft To Roar In The Middle Keys

Wings Of Freedom TourDo you love airplanes like I do? I don't know about you, but every time a plane takes off from the Marathon Airport I stop what I'm doing and look up.  Whether it's a new jet or an old DC9, I love the roar of the engines.

Visit the Marathon Airport between 2 pm Monday, February 6th, to noon on Wednesday, February  8th, to see the Collings Foundation's "Wings of Freedom Tour."  There will be two WWII heavy bombers, a Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress "Nine O Nine," a Consolidated B-24 Liberator "Witchcraft" and a P-51 Mustang.

The B-17 is one of only 10 in flying condition still left in the United States! Tickets to tour the aircraft are $12 for adults and $6 for children under 12.  Visitors can also take 30-60 minute flights that will cost between $2,200 and $3,200.

For reservations or more information call 800-568-8924, or www.cfdn.org.  Happy flying!

Warm regards from the Keys! Judy Cinque
