A few days ago my wife and I did something different........we turned in our locals hat.....momentarily mind you and became a tourist for the day. You see, our children gave use a gift certificate this Christmas past to swim with the dolphins at Hawk's Cay and we obviously wimped out and waited until July when the water was warmer :) I have to say.....what an experience. Being in the water with these creatures was nothing short of amazing.
If you ever get a chance to have a dolphin encounter in the Keys, I can assure you it is a must and they have a professional photographer there all along to capture the moment. Our family has lived in the Keys for over 40 years and I can say that this was one of the coolest things I have done. For those of you that have rented or will be renting one of our vacation rentals.......check it out. What have you got to lose? Just thought I would pass the experience along.
